What was once an African powerhouse—a cradle of Black brilliance—has been repackaged as a land of tanned Europeans in linen skirts. But facts don’t care about colonial comfort zones. Egypt, or Kemet, was a Black civilization, and the Bible backs it up. Let’s peel back the lies and reclaim the truth. Kemet: Land of the Black First off, the name "Kemet" literally translates to "Black Land." Scholars argue whether this refers to the rich, dark soil of the Nile Valley or the people themselves—but both make sense, and both are African. Evidence of Black African origins: Egypt is in Africa.
